Cool Conditions in the South East

Area

Southern and Eastern parts of Zimbabwe

Event description

Cool and relatively moist winds from the southeast are expected to strengthen on Wednesday evening, May 21, 2025. This influx will bring cooler air into the country from the southeastern coast of Southern Africa. As a result, residents of Matabeleland South, Masvingo, and Manicaland Provinces, along with the southern part of the Midlands, can anticipate windy, cloudy, and cool daytime conditions, with some areas experiencing a temperature drop of up to 9°C. (e.g. From approximately 30°C to 21°C) Other regions will see scattered clouds and mild conditions, accompanied by occasional light breezes. Evenings will feel quite chilly. A gradual warming trend is expected to begin on Sunday, May 24, 2025, as the winds subside.
