Dekadal Agromet Bulletin 01-10 March 2026

Bulletin

Scattered thunderstorms, some heavy in places, occurred across the country during the first dekad of March. This was due to abundant moisture in the atmosphere from a cloud band from the west and ridging of high-pressure system over the southern and eastern parts of the country. Conditions were mostly cloudy and warm for much of the period under review. Some of the highest 10‑day cumulative rainfall totals recorded were 287 mm (Mukandi), 227 mm (Makoholi), 226mm (Chisengu), 206 mm (Wedza), and 200 mm (Gweru). Fig 1 also shows the spatial distribution of the rainfall.
