During the second dekad of February, cloudy conditions with scattered thunderstorms were experienced in some parts of the country. This resulted in significant rainfall amounts being recorded in Mashonaland West, Midlands, Matabeleland South, some parts of Masvingo, and Manicaland Province as indicated in Fig 1(a). The highest rainfall totals for this period were recorded in West Nicholson (179.6 mm), Mhondoro (169.7 mm), Zaka (155.4 mm), Masvingo (108.4 mm), and Gokwe (96.5 mm). It was hot during the afternoon for most of the dekad, with mild conditions in the morning across the country.
