Dekadal Agromet Bulletin 21 - 28 February 2025

Bulletin

Mostly cloudy conditions with scattered thunderstorms were experienced for the week under review. Highest cumulative amounts were recorded in the northern regions of the country. This was due to the presence of moisture in the northern parts of the country as a result of the ITCZ. Highest decadal totals included 188mm (Kadoma), 127mm (Karoi), 120mm (Guruve), 115mm (Mukandi), 113mm (Kanyemba), 112mm (Mount Darwin), 110mm (Nyanga) and 101mm (Rusape). Areas in the southern parts did not receive much rainfall as compared to the northern areas. The south easterly airflow was dominant in most parts of the country except for Mashonaland East, Mashonaland West and Harare Metropolitan Provinces where there was a north easterly airflow. Temperatures were mild in the morning becoming hot in the afternoon. Vegetation condition in most areas was good.
