Our Weekly Rainfall Bulletin
These bulletins are produced from the period October to April of the following year to monitor the seasonal rainfall performance. The rainfall bulletins compliment the seasonal rainfall forecasts that are issued each year in August/September. With the rainfall bulletins, the distribution of the rainfall can be monitored thereby providing additional information to the progress of the rainfall season. These bulletins provide a weekly summary of the rainfall activity within the country reporting on the highest 24hr and weekly amounts. They also provide the seasonal totals and a comparison with the long term averages. Weekly forecasts are incorporated into the bulletins to assist the users with their planning across the climate sensitive sectors.
