Addressing food security and migration issues; building resilient communities in Zimbabwe

SAFE4ALL

The SAFE4ALL project in Zimbabwe, in partnership with the Meteorological Services Department and Zimbabwe Farmers“ Union, addresses critical issues of food security, disaster management, and migration exacerbated by climate change. Funded by the Horizon Europe Framework Programme, this initiative focuses on enhancing the resilience of local food systems and communities by providing scalable climate information services. These services are crucial in empowering local stakeholders to make informed decisions that stabilize agricultural activities and mitigate the impacts of extreme weather events such as droughts and floods. By strengthening climate resilience, the project aims to curb rural-urban migration by ensuring communities are better equipped to handle climatic challenges and maintain food security.
